Privacy Policy

Caradove ("Caradove," "the app," "we," "us," "our") is a senior companion app operated by Air Duct Cleaning Miami, a business registered in the State of Florida, USA. This policy explains, in plain language, what information Caradove collects, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights you have. Caradove is used by older adults and their families, and everyone deserves to understand what happens to their information. If anything here is unclear, contact us — see How to reach us.

The short version

• Caradove helps you talk to a friendly AI companion, track medications and appointments, log health readings you enter yourself, stay in touch with family, and get help in an emergency.
• We collect the information you give us and a small amount of usage information so those features can work.
• We do not sell your personal information, and we do not show you ads.
• You can delete your account and all your data at any time — from inside the app or from our Account Deletion page.
• Caradove is a wellness and companionship app. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition.

1. Information we collect

We only collect what a feature needs to work.

Health & wellness information (you enter it yourself)

• Blood pressure and blood sugar / glucose readings, and other vitals you log
• Medications — name, dose, schedule, and whether you took or skipped a dose
• Appointments — date, time, provider, location
• Wellness check-ins and health-related notes the companion remembers about you

Identity & contact information

• Your name and the companion's nickname
• Your home city, county, and street address (to ground local answers and locate you in an emergency)
• Your date of birth (age band and birthday reminders) and phone number (for reminder or emergency calls)
• Your emergency / family contacts — name, relationship, and phone number

Conversations & memory

• Voice recordings, captured only when you tap to talk or start a voice session
• Transcripts of those recordings, the companion's replies, and a running summary/memory of your conversations so it can remember what matters to you

Photos

• Photos you take or choose of a prescription label, appointment card, or ID/medical card so the app can read the details and fill in a medication or appointment for you, and photos you exchange with family

Location (safety only)

• Precise location is collected only when you press Help / SOS, when a fall is detected (if you turned that on), or in lost / find-me mode — so family or emergency services can find you. Caradove does not track your location in the background.

Other features you choose to use

• Family messages and the family link relationships
• The optional scam / email watch (content and senders you forward), and shopping lists, cart, and orders

Device & account information

• A push-notification token and basic device type, so reminders and alerts reach your phone
• Usage and diagnostic information and error logs, used to keep the app reliable and to improve it — never for third-party advertising
• Your subscription/plan status. If you make a purchase, payment is handled by Stripe; card and bank numbers are entered directly with Stripe and never touch our servers

2. How we use your information

• Run the companion conversation and remember what matters to you
• Send and place reminders for medications and appointments (spoken pop-up reminders and, where enabled, reminder phone calls)
• Let you log and review your vitals, medications, and appointments
• Provide safety features — the Help/SOS button, fall detection (if enabled), and lost / find-me mode — including alerting your family and putting a one-tap 911 button in front of you (it opens your phone's dialer with 911 filled in; you press the call button — the app never calls 911 itself)
• Enable family messaging and, where you consent, share updates with linked caregivers/family
• Keep the app secure, reliable, and working, diagnose problems, and improve it
• Process purchases and manage your subscription, and meet legal, safety, and record-keeping obligations

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it to serve you third-party advertising.

3. Service providers & when we share

To run Caradove we rely on a small set of trusted service providers ("processors") that act only on our instructions, under contract — for example, to store your data securely (Cloudflare), turn your voice into text and give the companion a natural voice, power the companion's replies and read prescription/appointment photos, send messages and emails to your family or doctor when you ask, deliver push reminders, place reminder/emergency calls, and process payments (Stripe). Your saved conversation history and memories are stored by us, not by the AI providers, and we choose providers that support not training their public models on your data.

Text messages: Twilio (our text-message provider) keeps the text-message bodies it delivers under its own retention.

Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. SMS opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties.

Alert texts: emergency contacts receive Caradove alert texts only after the app user adds them. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help.

We share your information only: with those processors to run the app; with the family/caregivers you link (and only what you consent to share); in an emergency (your location and contact details with your emergency contacts); for legal reasons if required by law; or in a business transfer, subject to this policy.

We never sell your personal information. We never share it for third-party advertising.

4. How long we keep your information

• While your account is active, we keep your information so the app works.
• If you cancel, we keep your health and personal data for a limited win-back window (currently up to 90 days) in case you return, then permanently erase it.
• If you ask us to delete your account and data, we honor it — see Section 5. On deletion we scrub every health, conversation, location, voice, family, and profile record tied to you.
• We keep a minimal set of records longer only where the law requires — for example payment/order records for tax and accounting, and anonymized analytics that no longer identify you.
• Deleted data may stay in our encrypted backups for up to 30 days before it is gone.

5. Your rights & choices

Wherever you live, you can:

• Access / export the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct information that is wrong — most of it is editable right in the app.
• Delete your account and personal data — from Settings → Plan & Account → "Delete my account & data" in the app, or from our Account Deletion page. Deletion is immediate and permanent; copies in our encrypted backups are gone within 30 days.
• Withdraw consent for a sensitive feature (voice, precise location, fall detection, email watch, family sharing) by turning it off in Settings; the app keeps working without it.
• Opt out of non-essential data uses. We do not sell data or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of there.

Uninstalling the app is not an account-deletion request. It removes Caradove and local app data from that phone, but your account and cloud data remain until you use one of the deletion methods above.

Depending on your state (for example California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and Florida residents), you may have additional rights, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them and the right to appeal. You may authorize someone (such as a family member) to act for you. To exercise any right, use the in-app tools or contact us below; we will verify your request to protect your account.

6. Security

• All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) between your phone, our servers, and our processors.
• Data is stored on Cloudflare infrastructure with per-user isolation; every record is tied to your authenticated account and read only for you.
• Family photos are kept in a private store and served only to people authorized for that conversation.
• Provider API keys and secrets are held server-side only, never on your phone; sensitive credentials on your device are held in the operating system's secure storage.
• No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you and regulators of a qualifying breach as required by law.

7. Children

Caradove is intended for adults. It is not directed to children under 13, and the account holder is expected to be 18 or older (or a caregiver/family member setting the app up for a senior). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Some features let a senior record a grandchild's name, birthday, or school days-off so the companion can remind them — this is information the adult chooses to enter about a family member, not information collected from a child using the app. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information directly, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Where your information is processed & changes

Caradove is operated from the United States, and our processors may handle data in the United States and other countries where they operate. By using the app you understand your information is processed in the U.S. If we make a material change to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the app.
